Blind Mountain was realised in 2007. It is a Chinese movie directed by Li Yang. This movie is about China's social problem. This is all about selling women for marriage in modern day China. The film opens with a young , perilously open-faced college graduate, Bai Xuemei - played Huang Lu. She was anxious to help her parents out of debt.
Bai believes that she and the strangers will be buying medicinal herbs that can be profitably sell elsewhere. In the process, she was drugged, kidnapped and sold as a bride to a villeger in the Qinling Mountains. After that she suffers from being rapped by her "husband" and after few months she gave a birth to a baby boy. With help of friends she ran away from the village but she failed.
In the end no one wins because Bai Xuemei's child is left without mother and family of her "husband" left with no daughter in-law. The ending concludes with the text that the problem of human trafficing in modern day China. This movie was nominated in International Film Festival, Bratislava 2007, Grand Pix AND Special Mention of the Ecumenical Jury.
