Here are a few movies that make you feeling good after watching it. They are one of a kind and probably one of the best ever made.
It's a Wonderful Life :
Directed by Franz Kafka, this is a Christmas movie that can be enjoyed by the entire family. A must see for kids. This movie ends with a very good morale of never giving up in life.
The movie goes this way..
George Bailey (James Stewart) has the perfect life: a caring wife, Mary (Donna Reed), four young children, and his own business, which he inherited from his father. However, on Christmas Eve, George encounters severe business difficulties at the Bailey Building and Loan. George's Uncle Billy loses the cash they owe the bank, which is owned by the Scrooge-esque Mr. Potter. This leads George to a terrible crisis, and he contemplates suicide. He is saved at the last moment by the apperance of his guardian angel, Clarence (Henry Travers).
Clarence shows George how much his life means by showing him how the world would be without him. At first, it is very difficult for George to believe that what was happenning was true. It's not pretty; his cheerful, friendly town is dreary and poverty stricken. Finally, George is convinced and Clarence returns him to the world as if nothing had happened. George goes home to find the entire community gathered at his house to raise money for his consistently benevolent loan business. Even Mr. Potter's accountant donates money to the cause. The movie concludes with George's brother, Harry, bursting in the door, back from the war. As the whole community sings "Auld Lang Syne," a bell rings, telling George that Clarence finally achieved his goal as an angel and obtained his wings. All's well that end's well.
Life is Beautiful :
The movie is directed by Roberto Benigni. He plays the lead role himself. The movie is about the World war 2 Italy when the whole city was terrorized. It's about how someone can make the best out of difficult times.
The movie goes this way..
Soon before World War II in Italy, Guido and his friend travel from the country to the city in order to get jobs--Guido eventually hopes to open a bookstore. In the meantime he works in a hotel with his uncle and courts a schoolteacher named Dora. Guido’s clownish charm eventually wins Dora away from her odious fiancĂ©. A few years pass, and Guido and Dora have married and had a son, Joshua. It turns out that Guido is Jewish, so he and his son are sent to a concentration camp; Dora refuses to separate and is deported with them. Guido convinces his son that the entire camp is being run as a game of which the winner receives a real tank. Guido is able to protect his son and, as the camp is being cleared out, asks him to hide so that his father can find Dora. However, Guido is captured by guards and killed. The next day, Joshua emerges from his hiding place to find an empty camp. A U.S. tank arrives, and Joshua gets to ride in it until he is reunited with his mother.
The Pursuit of Happyness :
A brilliant movie based upon a true story, it gives you an insight on how hard work and determination really pays. One of the few movies in which an actor and also his son works together. Both of them have given a great performance. It is a movie about rise from "rugs to riches" but with sheer hard work.
Chris Gardner (Will Smith) is a bright and talented, but meagerly employed salesman. Struggling to make ends meet, Gardner finds himself and his five-year-old son evicted from their San Francisco apartment with nowhere to go. To make things work, his wife abandons both of them to revel her own individual life. When Gardner lands an internship at a prestigious stock brokerage firm, he and his son endure many hardships, including living in shelters, in pursuit of his dream of a better life for the two of them.
I'm sure that these movies will fill a person with happiness and a hope for a brighter future. Three mood-lifting movies for any occasion.
